The Design Process
STEP 1 – Garden visit & Consultation
We will meet with you to find out your requirements for your garden and discuss any ideas.
Following an initial consultation, some preliminary suggestions will be made in writing on how your garden could be developed with indicative costs for each part of the process: garden design, planting plan, project management, construction and planting.
STEP 2 – Garden Survey Once a scaled garden design and/or planting plan has been commissioned, a site survey will be carried out. This includes assessing the soil type and pH, aspect, slope etc.
STEP 3 – Garden Design & Planting Plan A draft garden design and/or planting plan will be produced for discussion, drawn to scale. Samples of materials and illustrations of planting designs will be presented.
STEP 4 – Design fee Once the garden design and/or planting plan has been finalised to your complete satisfaction, the design fee will be payable. Designs will be left with the client after payment has been received.
STEP 5 – Construction & Planting Green Edge Garden Design can recommend a number of excellent garden landscapers who will provide excellent, competitive service. If you would like Green Edge to liaise with landscapers during construction and planting stages, this will be charge by site visit or as a percentage of the project's construction costs.
